Kayla Lyftogt

Kayla joined Seed Coalition in May of 2022. For the AmeriCorps program, she leads evaluation efforts and assists with training, site development, and recruitment. In addition, she works with the leadership team on network and membership development as well as organizational strategy.

She holds a Masters Degree from Vanderbilt University and a PhD from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, both with a focus on Higher Education and Community Engagement. Her dissertation research focused on the ethics and ethical review of community-based participatory research. For nearly 15 years, Kayla has coordinated community engagement efforts on campuses and with communities in Tennessee, Iowa, and Minnesota. In her free time, Kayla enjoys practicing yoga, seeking out live music, trying new recipes, and spending time with her family outdoors.
