Our coalition of Midwest colleges and universities are working together to create a more engaged democracy — Join us!
From the Executive Director
For over thirty years Seed Coalition, as Campus Compact in Minnesota and Iowa, has been the home of community and civic engagement for colleges and universities in Minnesota and Iowa. We’re proud to be a diverse community of higher education institutions that learns from and supports each other. There is no better time to join Seed Coalition than now.
How does Seed Coalition membership work?
Fellow leader, if you care about your students being engaged leaders, and if you want the community around you to prosper, then I strongly encourage you to join Seed Coalition! You will find tremendous value in what comes back to your campus, and you will be proclaiming that your institution believes in civic engagement.
Scott Olson, Chancellor Minnesota State University
Institutions that choose to become a member of our coalition are considered member campuses, meaning the entirety of the campus community has access to the services that we provide. Whether you’re looking for student programming, resources for community engaged learning, professional development for staff or faculty, networking opportunities, or customized services, we can provide them. For more information, check out our full list of member benefits.
Our current membership consists of more than 50 colleges and universities spanning across the states of Iowa and Minnesota. Take a look at the institutions who make our coalition what it is today.
How do I become a member?
Presidents and chancellors make the decision to connect their institutions to our coalition. Any member of campus can reach out to learn more about this process; we are happy to learn of your interest and start a conversation with campus leadership. Membership costs vary by institution and are calculated based on undergraduate and graduate full-time enrollment as reported to the Integrated Postsecondary Education System. Want more information?
