Presidents and chancellors who join Seed Coalition connect their institutions with awards, professional development opportunities, consulting, resources, publications, and more, all with the goal to support community engagement and democratic renewal. 

While college and university presidents and chancellors are the official members of our coalition, everyone associated with a member campus can access member benefits. Academic leaders, faculty, staff, students, and community partners regularly call on us for a number of services to enhance their engagement efforts.

As a member of our Coalition, you receive access to:

Professional Development

Opportunities for staff, faculty and administrators via the Engaged Faculty InstituteCommunities of PracticeNetwork Gatherings, and the Presidents’ Leadership Retreat.

AmeriCorps Programs

Access to national service through our AmeriCorps programs.

Road-tested Resources

Enjoy resources, including tools and frameworks for community engagement and lesson plans for civic engagement focused workshops.

The Civic Action Academy

Participate in the only regional conference focused on student civic engagement.

Annual Awards

Celebrate your community’s successes at our annual awards ceremony which recognizes the special achievements of individuals and groups on campus and in their communities.

Expert Consulting

Consultations on civic engagement, community-engaged learning and partnerships, and how the civic mission of higher education connects with the values, work, and culture of your campus. 

Custom Services

Enjoy one included custom service per year which can include consultation or workshops for faculty/staff/students. Have the option for more.

Membership costs vary by institution and are calculated based on undergraduate and graduate full-time enrollment as reported to the Integrated Postsecondary Education System.
