Introducing Iowa College Corps AmeriCorps

In Celebration of AmeriCorps week, we are excited to announce that for the 2024-2025 Academic Year, our Iowa AmeriCorps State and National grant program is expanding!  Next year, in addition to operating our Peer Mentoring program, (previously CLAP), we will also be launching a pilot of our Nonprofit and Public Sector Career Readiness program. With this expansion, our new and existing program will become one with a brand new name:

Iowa College Corps AmeriCorps

The Peer Mentoring program may be of interest if you are looking for additional ways to support first generation, low income, and/or students of color with critical wrap-around peer and near-peer mentoring focused on both academic and nonacademic success. Full-time and part-time AmeriCorps positions are available to member campuses in Iowa. Positions are eligible for a living stipend and an Education Award or can be Education-Award only.

The new Nonprofit and Public Sector Career Readiness program may be for your campus if you have students who are interested in pursuing a nonprofit or public sector career but struggle to find paid opportunities in their areas of interest. Full-time and part-time AmeriCorps positions are available. All positions receive both a living stipend and an Education Award. (Note: Priority given to institutions who participated in our planning grant process, but all member campuses in Iowa are welcome to apply.)

SAVE THE DATE for Host Site Applications:
